Top Entertainment and Fashion Scouts Looking to Tag the Next Big Star . . . Will It Be You!
Twice a year the International Model and Talent Association (IMTA) gathers some of the heaviest hitters in the model and talent industry. They scout new faces and names to add to the media and entertainment scene in the U. S. and across the globe.
Agents and managers convene in New York in July, and in Los Angeles in January. But the first step in making it to the big leagues for would-be stars takes place at the hometown level where local agencies invite them to prepare for the IMTA conference.

In Phoenix on February 25, 2012, about 100 children, teens and young adults, along with their parents or guardians attended a tryout session hosted by The Young Agency. A panel of IMTA and Young officials introduced the audience to what to expect if they get an opportunity to go to the Big Apple in July 2012.
Agency President Pamela Young says her agency is one of the largest in the southwest specializing in age, size and cultural diversity. Several times it has escorted locally popular models and new talent to New York or Los Angeles. “I’m truly interested in helping these young people get a stage, screen or print career off the ground, and attending the IMTA convention is one of the best ways to do it,” she says.

The agency regularly hosts auditions and encourages participation in its appointment-only interviews. If officials feel the show biz hopefuls may have what it takes to go for fame and fortune, then the next step is making a trip east or west. This is the second year IMTA and The Young Agency team have prepared talent from around the state to attend one of the largest, most important talent conferences in entertainment and fashion.
International agents, managers, producers, and casting directors teach seminars, judge competitions, and always, they all keep an eye out for the next big star.
Ashton Kutcher, Katie Holmes, Jessica Biel, Eva Longoria and other television and film stars, top models and dance divas have been discovered at an IMTA conference. Professionals and hopefuls of varying ages attend looking to find an agent or manager and, maybe even, to become the next big name in popular culture.
