If you have been to Nashville, Tennessee you probably have enjoyed sampling the city’s music and entertainment venues, and its unlimited number of other things to see and do.
Even if you have never been there, it is likely that you know about the Grand Ole Opry, the Country Music Hall of Fame or the historic RCA Studio B. But, it is unlikely that you know about one of Nashville’s best kept secrets—Whole Baked Goodness.
Whole Baked Goodness (WBG) is a small commercial bakery tucked away in Central Nashville. For two years now it has been making tasty, healthful, gluten-free baked goods. A sampling of the products made me take a closer look.
WBG gourmet baked goods are being sold in Whole Foods, five Kroger stores and on Amazon.com soon, as well as continuing to be available on the Whole Baked Goodness.com. Caterers and food service facilities serve the company’s breads, cakes and mini-muffins.
That is impressive for a small bakery toddling toward growth and greater success. More impressive, however, is the person who owns and operates the enterprise, Karen McGhee.
Karen’s career has taken interesting twists and turns since I first met her during her college undergraduate years. My examination of what she sees as part of her ministry shows she is just as interesting as ever. Click on Prime Time and Promises to read her story.
